Terms & Conditions

Version 1.0.0 · Effective July 2, 2026 · MVP 1 (Beta, free use)

1. Introduction

Welcome to resibo.me (the “Platform”), a billing and tax-record companion built for Filipino freelancers, independent contractors, and self-employed professionals. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Platform. By creating an account or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

2. Beta Status & No Warranty of Tax Accuracy

resibo.me is currently offered as an MVP 1 beta release, free of charge. Features, computations, forms, and reference materials — including 1701Q, 1701A, 1701, 2551Q, and 2550Q cheat-sheets — are provided for informational and record-keeping purposes only and are not a substitute for professional tax, legal, or accounting advice, nor for BIR-authorized invoices or official filings. Always validate figures and filings with a licensed CPA or tax professional. The Platform does not electronically file returns with the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

3. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, including but not limited to:

  • Republic Act No. 10173 — Data Privacy Act of 2012 and its IRR, enforced by the National Privacy Commission (NPC);
  • Republic Act No. 8792 — Electronic Commerce Act of 2000;
  • Republic Act No. 10175 — Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012;
  • Republic Act No. 7394 — Consumer Act of the Philippines;
  • Republic Act No. 8293 — Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines;
  • Republic Act No. 11765 — Financial Products and Services Consumer Protection Act, where applicable;
  • The National Internal Revenue Code, as amended by the TRAIN Law (RA 10963) and CREATE Act (RA 11534), and issuances of the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

The proper venue for any dispute arising from these Terms shall be the competent courts of the National Capital Judicial Region, Philippines, without prejudice to alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a self-employed individual, freelancer, independent contractor, or professional with a valid Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) to use the Platform.

5. Accounts & Security

Sign-up requires an email address, a password of your choosing, and confirmation through a one-time verification code sent to your email. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity conducted under your account.

6. Acceptable Use

You shall not use the Platform to:

  • Violate Philippine law, including RA 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act);
  • Issue billings, receipts, or records with the intent to defraud a client, the BIR, or any third party;
  • Misrepresent your identity, TIN, RDO, business address, or tax classification;
  • Upload unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringing content;
  • Interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of the Platform.

7. Data Privacy

resibo.me processes personal data in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173). Your taxpayer profile, clients, billings, and 2307 records are stored under Row-Level Security so that only you and authorized super-administrators may access them.

Bank account details entered for invoice generation are handled in-memory only, used solely to render the resulting PDF, and are never persisted to our database or storage. This is an intentional privacy-by-design measure consistent with the Data Privacy Act.

8. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, source code, and content on the Platform are owned by resibo.me or its licensors and are protected under the Intellectual Property Code (RA 8293). You retain ownership of the billing, client, and tax data you submit; you grant resibo.me a limited, non-exclusive licence to host and process such data solely to operate and improve the Platform.

9. Electronic Documents & Signatures

Billings, invoices, and consents made through the Platform are recognized as valid electronic documents and electronic signatures under the Electronic Commerce Act of 2000 (RA 8792) and the Rules on Electronic Evidence.

10. Third-Party Services

The Platform relies on trusted infrastructure providers (Lovable Cloud for database, authentication, and storage; Cloudflare for edge delivery) acting as personal information processors under contractual safeguards consistent with the Data Privacy Act.

11. Future Paid Subscriptions

MVP 1 is free. Future releases may introduce paid subscription tiers (monthly or annual) with payment via GCash, Maya, QR Ph, and debit/credit cards. Any move to paid features will be communicated in advance and existing beta users will be given notice and a transition path. See the Pricing & Roadmap page for details.

12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. resibo.me does not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, resibo.me and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including tax penalties, surcharges, or interest — arising out of your use of the Platform. You remain solely responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of your BIR filings.

13. Suspension & Termination

resibo.me may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time for violations of these Terms or applicable law. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
